Maslow's theory which divides the needs into various categories is a well defined and popular theory , as it highlights various needs of a human. These needs can be related to a person on a daily basis or even during his life span. All of the them hold a very specific place but however are very dynamic and are subjected to change. As and when the circumstances change these needs also change. There are few products and brands which fit appropriately to the needs distinguished. It can related to a greater extent and is befitting my needs. It may vary from person to person as people have different needs altogether.
Physiological needs can be seen as the foundation of all needs and is something which everyone wants to fulfil. Nivea , Gap , MacDonald's etc are few brands which I would like to put under this category because I have a sense of attachment to all of them and their consumption cycle involves almost daily intake. Nivea which solves the purpose as a cream has been potential enough to trigger brand loyalty particularly in my family as it's usage is happening since inception. Gap, which is a clothing brand has loose fit , trendy and simple t-shirts which caters to my easy and comfortable life and can definitely be put under this respective criteria. MacDonald's burger makes me happy and gives me a certain type of joy which I love to experience again and again. However , there are many brands and products which befits the above need, as with the growth in life and advancements our physiological changes are changing rapidly adding more to the que.
Safety needs is very important because a person may have everything but if the sense of security is missing it may lead to restlessness. In today's world of changing sphere it becomes crucial to ensure security for one and be responsible at the same time. HDFC Bank , LIC and Volvo instigates the Safety within me and puts me in the bubble of security. Having a small account in HDFC Bank releases me from the financial tension to a certain extent. Having a LIC(Life Insurance) policy marks the line of security for me as well as for my family and is looked upon. Volvo , the car brand has also been successful enough to make its viewers believe that it's a secured car on road. This brand has come out with great colours in developing it as a brand on which people can rely on.
Belongingness and love needs are the ones which I feel really happy to associate with and the ownership of it's single product can make me delighted. Zara , Forever New & Sephora are few brands which has never failed to put the smile on my face. Zara has its own charm and the belongingness which I feel with it, cannot be described in words. Whenever Forever New's collection is rolled on the store , no one can stop me to view it and grab as much as I can with my limited resources. Sephora , which is an emerging brand in India has successfully penetrated into my heart and has developed great affection for it. All the above brands play a great deal in my life as I feel attached to them and their store pleases me well.
Esteem needs highlights prestige and accomplishment and open ups avenue related to aura. According to me, these needs are the one's which can be achieved only after a stable financial position. Michael Kors , Da Milano and Aldo are few exquisite brands which are my esteem quotient. Micheal Kors is an elite handbag brand and owing one would take me through the stars of esteem. Da Milano , is an exquisite handbag brand too, its product range delights me at lengths. Aldo is a footwear brand which treats my heart with it's product range and diversification. Owning products from these brand's will definitely roll me over the floor of happiness because they form an integral part of my dream.
Self-Actualisation needs explores the highest potential of a human. It is that need which is mixed with desire and dream. It is something which everyone wants to achieve but fulfilling it is quite a task. A Micheal Cinco gown , Louis Vuitton and Coach are few brands which has edge over my dreams and only my full potential will lead me to buy them in nearing future. Michael Cinco is a Dubai based designer who specialises in princess ball gowns and owning one of them would trigger great levels of happiness in me. Louis Vuitton , which is everyone's favourite has also climbed my ladder of self-actualisation needs and am awaiting to have it , which will increase my loyalty towards it.
