Non Buying consuming pattern

A customer exhibits various types of behaviour as and when he gets dipped in a pool of situations. For a customer , it becomes extremely difficult as it gets limited with his resources at disposal and other shopping trends which lure him to a great extent. It is important for him to analyse certain circumstances and then work accordingly if a new product is being bought to him. However , it differs from person to person as their needs vary and the wants are not always accomplished.

A customer either exhibits buying behaviour or non-buying behaviour. There are many divisions to each part, but it is solely on the customer with his resources at disposal to decide which behaviour he wants to exhibit. There may be situations where diversions from non-buying to buying trend takes place as there are many factors which determine it. There are innumerable circumstances where you might have also experienced the same thing. How many times have we bought unnecessary things from the market in the lieu of sale or offer ? I am sure we all can relate to it.

However , I feel there are five main broad divisions which cover non-buying pattern of the consumer.

"Vodafone" , a famous and a trusted service provider enriches its customer experience by providing all types of service. I exhibit "The complainer" behaviour for this particular brand and have never been a consumer of it. Heard from the sources , the service provided by this provider is not appropriate which is deteriorating it's market share and giving an edge to its competitors for capturing their customers. Even after persistent level of dedication, the provider is continuously declining its service and is not enduring the needed level of efforts to reinforce the brand and it's service in the market. This is a situation where the company is leading a trend and loosing it's valuable prospects to it's competitors as a major drift can be witnessed in customers switching their providers.

"The overly agreeable" is very known phenomenon which I feel in small intervals. The entire concept narrows down to my limited resources which are available at my disposal. One such brand which fits impeccably in the frame is "Estée Lauder" for me. They have a wide range of products and offer great service . Their products are flawless and the general reaction earned is always for the favour of the brand. However , one big element which stops me from buying it is the price barrier. The commodities are expensively priced and my wallet does not allow me to buy them. Even though I'm a loyal customer in terms of learning their recent launches , still I couldn't be converted as a consumer.

"The expert" is another situation which every customer deals with. People tend to specialise in their deep rooted passion but it becomes difficult , if some barrier restricts them to execute it. For me , I tend to exhibit this behaviour when it zeros down to the brand "KYLIE". My passion encircles fashion and makeup and it is my dream to owe all the products in this range. Dedicatedly , I carry out research for its new releases and familiarise myself with the launches. Acting as an expert for its product triggers happiness still it didn't force me buy one of them. I feel , the non-availability of the product in India has not initiated my purchase because hesitation creeps in while ordering products internationally over online servers. However , I learning about the KYLIE products is a sense of pride in myself.

"Brands which test their products on animals" are facing a brutal situation as the people are willing protesting against it and I belong to the tribe. Brands such as "Clinique, Benefit" etc are still using innocent animals to test their products which make me "The pessimist" buyer for their products. Though I'm delighted by the makeup brands and recent releases still this animal cruelty is beyond acceptance. Such brands gather a good share of the market because people are not aware about it . I do not believe in advocating such brands because triggering sales will motivate them more to test on the animals which is against my belief. Such brands should take an initiative for withdrawing from this testing and formulate good levels of CSR activities. Because of this one single attribute, it develops me into a pessimist buyer against such brands.

"The Staller" is the one who postpones it's purchases due to some reason. Even though the product has been successful enough in grabbing an effective level of attention, still the purchase is getting delayed by the customer. "Airpods by Apple" is one such product which had managed to grab high levels of attention in my book still my purchase is getting delayed. The features of the product is so eye-catching with the perfect blend of technology which triggers the feeling to having this product but , it has made me a staller for this product as I am not being able to purchase it due to time constraint and a remarkable amount of penetration can be seen in my procrastinating level. More than justifying my reason for still not having this product , I should have bought it yet still it's just getting delayed.
